Carbonite HyperMax and Ross Platform Manager (RPM) bring a flexible, scalable, and efficient workflow to your production environment. With dynamic licensing, you can assign and reassign features across multiple hardware platforms to maximize your resources without adding extra equipment.
RPM creates a pool of Carbonite and HyperMax licenses, which you can deploy to standalone Carbonite Ultra and Carbonite Ultra 60 production switchers or to the Software Defined Production Engine (SDPE) boards that power the Ultrix Carbonite and Ultrix Acuity platforms. You can assign these licenses to different production switchers across remote locations as needed or use them to enable features on local devices. RPM also provides role-based access control and license tracking for streamlined management.
With a single Carbonite HyperMax license assigned to an SDPE blade, you unlock six powerful effects systems:
With Carbonite HyperMax, you can dynamically move or share licenses on any SDPE blade as production needs change. Assign a Mix Effect (ME) bank to an SDPE blade in a news studio control room for a broadcast, then reallocate it afterward. An outside broadcaster can use an SDPE blade as a video processor for one event and then repurpose it as a MaxME for another production. This adaptability ensures you always get the most from your investment.
For facilities with Carbonite Ultra or Ultra 60 switchers, RPM simplifies resource allocation. By migrating ME licenses to a shared pool, multiple systems can access those capabilities without requiring duplicate hardware. This reduces costs while maintaining full production flexibility.
Ross Software-Defined Production Engine (SDPE) boards are built for adaptability. Software updates allow you to add new features without requiring additional hardware. As new SDPE functionality is developed, Carbonite HyperMax licenses can be updated to provide additional capabilities to ensure you stay ahead.
With Carbonite HyperMax and Ross Platform Manager, you gain a production system designed for today’s fast-paced demands and tomorrow’s opportunities. Scale effortlessly, optimize resources, and produce without limits.
